Lewis, Michael

Michael Lewis hails from our Nation's Capitol, but has lived, worked and raised a family in the San Fernando Valley, the most recent decade of those years living and working in Granada Hills and Northridge.

Michael has a background in film and theatre. He's had two dozen professional productions of his plays and musicals, both here and Off-Broadway, has sold 5 feature scripts (one of which was produced, starring Peter O'Toole and John Rhys-Davies) and has written for network TV. He's also acted professionally on the East and West Coasts, wrote a regular humor column for 12 years for a classified publication and also co-wrote the comic strip "Pogo," in its final year of existence.

He currently co-directs, with Alison Robinson, the local counseling/teaching facility, Valley Life Improvement Center (www.valleylifeimprovementcenter.com) and also co-directs with Alison the non-profit, More Art, Inc, which showcases and launches artists of all kinds (www.moreart.us). He regularly gives motivational talks on various subjects and is currently promoting his book, Are You Alive Today?

He is also a life-long fan of the Washington D.C. major league baseball team, and by so doing, has become familiar with exasperation, patience and hope.
