
Michael Lewis hails from our Nation's Capitol, but has lived, worked and raised a family in the San Fernando Valley, the most recent decade of those years living and working in Granada Hills and Northridge.
Michael has a background in film and theatre. He's had two dozen professional productions of his plays and musicals, both here and Off-Broadway, has sold 5 feature scripts (one of which was produced, starring Peter O'Toole and John Rhys-Davies) and has written for network TV. He's also acted professionally on the East and West Coasts, wrote a regular humor column for 12 years for a classified publication and also co-wrote the comic strip "Pogo," in its final year of existence.
He currently co-directs, with Alison Robinson, the local counseling/teaching facility, Valley Life Improvement Center (
www.valleylifeimprovementcenter.com) and also co-directs with Alison the non-profit, More Art, Inc, which showcases and launches artists of all kinds (
www.moreart.us). He regularly gives motivational talks on various subjects and is currently promoting his book,
Are You Alive Today?He is also a life-long fan of the Washington D.C. major league baseball team, and by so doing, has become familiar with exasperation, patience and hope.
